TERMS & CONDITIONS OF RENTAL FOR TAIGH AN CLACHAIR, LYBSTER

1. The property is available to the hirer from 4.00 p.m. on the agreed day of arrival until 10.00 a.m. on the agreed day of departure. Holiday lets normally run from Saturday 4.00 p.m. to Saturday 10.00 a.m. unless specifically arranged and agreed otherwise.

2. A non-refundable deposit of 20% of the total amount to be paid is required when the booking is made, with the balance payable one month before commencement of the let. If the booking is made one month or less before the commencement of the holiday, then the full rent should be paid at the time of booking. When the balance of the rent is paid, final details of the property, with routing and key holder information, will be forwarded.

3. In the event of cancellation, after the full rental has been paid, a refund of up to and no more than 80% of the total paid may be refunded at the discretion of the owners.

4. In no circumstances may the number of people occupying the property exceed three, unless agreed in advance with the owners. No pets allowed unless agreed in advance with the owners.

5. The Hirer agrees to keep the property and all the fitments, furniture, equipment and other contents in or on the property in the like state of repair and condition as at the commencement of the holiday let and will make good any damage, breakage or loss that may occur during the period of the holiday let. The property and all fitments, furniture, utensils and equipment etc. must be left in a clean and tidy condition at the conclusion of the period of the holiday let.

6. Confirmation of a booking will be deemed to be an acceptance of these conditions and a confirmation of the details and conditions supplied at the time of booking. The Hirer is responsible for ensuring that all persons occupying the property comply with all the conditions in all respects. The property is occupied strictly on the basis that the accommodation is for holiday use only and that no right to remain in the property after the end of the holiday period booked exists for the Hirer. All persons will vacate the property at the conclusion of the period of the holiday.

7. The owners reserve the right to cancel the booking if situations outside reasonable expectation or control arise, e.g. the destruction or damage of the property, which cannot reasonably be remedied to a satisfactory standard before the start of your stay through fire, flood, explosion, storm or other weather damage, break-in, criminal damage or any similar event beyond the owners’ control. In the event of such a situation a full refund will be made.

8. The facilities provided at the property are solely for the reasonable use of those people the owners have agreed can stay at the property.

9. The garage area of the property is private and is not included in the let.

10. In the interest of safety, any damage or defect of the property or its contents should be notified to the owners (or caretakers) immediately.
